Procedure in detail:

Patient was prepped and draped in a sterile fashion. Local anesthesia was
delivered to the scrotum.

The left vas deferens was palpated and a small incision was made on the skin
in the midline scrotum.
The left vas was then grabbed and delivered through the incision. Once the
vas was
completely isolated, the artery to the vas deferens was spared and vascular
clips were applied to the proximal and distal ends of the vas and the segment
was excised. The cut ends were delivered back into the scrotum in
different layers of the dartos fascia.

The same procedure was repeated on the contralateral side, with the right vas
delivered through the same midline scrotal incision.

The skin was then closed with 4-0 chromic gut suture in a horizontal mattress
fashion.

The patient was then discharged from clinic with instructions to avoid
strenuous activity for 5 days. Patient was advised to refrain from sexual
intercourse until he has his sterility confirmed via post-vasectomy
semen analysis.
